No parade experience required. We'll bring the signs and campaign spirit — you just bring yourself and your walking shoes. Cowboy boots and hats are welcome, but not required.

Grounds for Change: Kickoff to the General Election
Join supporters from across Douglas County for Grounds for Change, the official kickoff to Irene Bonham's general election campaign for County Commissioner. Together, we'll celebrate the progress we've made, build momentum for November, and continue growing a grassroots movement focused on putting people before politics. Douglas County Democratic Assembly
Democracy is not a spectator sport! Join Irene and other delegates across Douglas County for the Democratic Assembly.
What is Assembly?
An assembly is a meeting of delegates who were elected at caucuses or earlier assemblies. Anyone who participates in caucus can come to the Douglas County Democratic Assembly.
At assemblies, we will:
- Decide which candidates in our county move forward to the primary ballot
- Elect delegates to the next levels of assembly (CD4, State, etc. )
- Assemblies are how the party narrows the field and ensures candidates have real grassroots support before appearing on the ballot.
