The 2026 election is approaching, and Douglas County voters will be making decisions that will shape our community for years to come—including choices that matter to LGBTQIA+ residents, families, and allies.

Join Douglas County Pride and Books Are Awesome for Ballot Info Night, a community information session designed to help voters better understand what will appear on the November ballot and feel prepared to cast an informed vote.

The evening will bring together local candidates, community leaders, and issue experts for a conversation about key races and ballot measures, with particular attention to how the decisions before voters may affect LGBTQIA+ people and the broader Douglas County community.

What to Expect

• Meet local candidates and community speakers
• Learn about the measures concerning the proposed expansion of the Douglas County Board of County Commissioners from three to five members
• Hear information about Propositions 134 and 135
• Explore how issues on the 2026 ballot may affect LGBTQIA+ residents and families
• Ask questions and participate in community discussion
